Celebrate - World Card Making Day

Hi there ...

This is my second post for today ... If you're looking for my post for
Our Beautiful World
Please scroll down

I did a special card for WCMD but I couldn't post it before because I didn't want my friend to see it on my blog before I gave it to her ...

The Just Us Girls Challenge this week is a word week
The word is Celebrate

Well my dear friend Pat celebrates a special birthday and this is for her

I had to come up with something I know she hasn't seen me do before so I opted for a "bendy card"
She loves Aqua and pink!

I am so please at how this turned out and I love the balloons ... I cut them in vellum, each one is cut twice and I sandwiched the 'strings' between them then added some glitter ... They float like real balloons

my cat always hangs around us when we are together so I had to put cats in there

To say she was thrilled is an understatement ... It makes me smile to see her face light up

Now I'm making projects for my thursday group so I'll sign off

Enjoy your day

Under the sea

Good morning!
Are you having a good weekend?
It was a very wet day yesterday ... cold and windy too - It's the most rain we've had for a while ...

We have Kirsty hosting for us and she has picked the prompt
Under The Sea

Tough one unless you go scuba diving or something like that! I mean was I really going to photograph a fish?
It had me stumped for a time - then it hit me ... Of course!

The yellow submarine ... Are you singing the song? Ha! Bet you are...
So, this is part of Liverpool's Albert Dock ... Reclaimed buildings from a past era which now house quite a few attractions including the Beatles Exhibition, the Slave Museum, various galleries as well as bars and restaurants... and of course watersport areas

The sculpture or statue? of the Yellow Submarine here

is situated at our local airport... The John Lennon Airport

But taking you back to the Docks in the city centre ... Here is another yellow Submarine that is now for hire as apartments

If you'd like to see inside this or the Joker Barge and read about them you can click This link

Unfortunately the Liverpool Duck ... An amphibious tour vehicle that first took people around the city and then plunged into the dock has been retired after it sunk!

It had sunk before and to think that the Queen took a trip on this only a few weeks before Yikes!

I'm dying to see what the rest of the team have come up and what you come up with so join us at

Have a lovely Sunday
