Double D Challenge - Think Spring

Hello
Welcome to March and happy St David's day!

Today it's the turn of Team Diane to host the challenge at Double D

And with Spring approaching, the challenge is Think Spring

Just look at that lovely tile board

Here's my card...

I wanted to make a card that showed flowers sprouting up around the base of a tree... I have a few stamps with flowers but I didn't have a suitable tree stamp so again I drew one after masking off the front flowers

This is all done with watercolours and once again I added some texture to the tree by scraping it with a craft knife and I had to mask it to stamp the second set of flowers

I pondered abut maybe adding a butterfly but in the end I just left it alone

Both teams have created lovely cards to inspire you up on the blog and here's the prize on offer for this challenge

Cute huh?

We're looking forward to seeing your entries... Have fun!

What a beautiful sight to see in the spring time! With your drawing skills you'll never be without just the right stamp. The bright flowers are so pretty popping up around the tree trunk. Love that you added a bit of grass, too.

Hi Ros! I love your sweet scene with the colorful flowers at the base of a tree! How cool it must be to be a true artist and be able to just whip out your pencil and draw what you visualize for your design! You are so blessed with talent, my friend!! Hugs, Darnell

The flowers are almmost popping off the card. Love these bright colours and again a fab tree!Such a brilliant idea to use a craft knife to add some texture. I also love the way you "framed" the flowers with that double frame.
